The following 10 features are the main advantages of the future Tata Punch EV over the standard Tata Punch SUV:

10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen

With its entry-level electric SUV, Tata has unveiled its bigger touchscreen infotainment system. It is a feature of the redesigned dashboard and improves the Punch EV’s interior experience over the Punch. Even better, it has the Arcade.ev function, which provides access to a variety of apps that can be played with while the electric vehicle is being charged. The standard Punch, on the other hand, has a 7-inch touchscreen.

Six airbags

Six airbags will be included as standard equipment on the Punch EV, a feature update that is anticipated to become mandatory very soon. Among the extra safety features are electronic stability control (ESC), ABS, and rear parking sensors.

Front seats with ventilation

The Punch EV’s most unexpected feature-first addition is likely the luxury comfort of ventilated front seats, which Tata’s entry-level electric SUV will have. This will also only be available on the top version.

LED projector lights

Tata has disclosed that the Punch EV would be equipped with the new LED projector headlights as standard equipment, while the conventional Punch only receives halogen projector headlamps. These are also a part of the redesigned fascia, which is meant to resemble the Tata Nexon EV in appearance. It even has an LED DRL strip along the length of the bonnet, which has welcome and farewell sequences.

10.25-inch driver’s display for digital devices

The premium, completely digital instrument cluster for the Punch EV, as opposed to the semi-digital cluster for the standard Punch, is an additional feature that has been carried over from the Nexon EV. This function is exclusive to the highest-spec model of the electric micro-SUV and is not available in any other model within this category.

The parking brake is electronic.

The electric Punch model has an electronic parking brake that is simpler to use and has an auto-hold option that is helpful while driving on hills, in contrast to the standard Punch, which has a traditional stick in the centre console for the manual parking brake.

360-degree camera

Tata will provide the Punch EV with a 360-degree surround vision camera system, elevating both the safety factor and the luxury user experience over that of the standard Punch. This function makes manoeuvring in confined spaces much easier, even if the Punch’s compact size makes it simple to operate in urban areas already.

An wireless phone charger

A standard feature of any contemporary vehicle, the Punch EV’s wireless phone charging will only be available on the top version. The standard Punch is devoid of this functionality as well.

Seats covered with leatherette

With leatherette upholstery, the new Punch EV improves the passenger experience in the interior even while the additional technology gives many more advantages. Only the drive selector and steering wheel are available in leatherette finish on the standard Punch.

AQI-displayed air purifier

The Tata Punch EV will also include an inbuilt air purifier that shows the AQI via the central infotainment system. With the latter, you can monitor both the air quality within your cabin and outside of it.

The Tata Punch EV will have the following features above the standard Punch micro-SUV. It is also going to be more expensive than the ICE Punch because of the electric powertrain and these added comforts. The normal Punch presently retails for between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10.10 lakh (all prices ex-showroom), whereas the Tata Punch EV is anticipated to start at Rs 12 lakh.

But we anticipate that the latter will soon receive its initial facelift, including with several of the previously mentioned feature upgrades. In the comments section below, let us know which new feature of the forthcoming Tata Punch EV most excites you.
